Raw, Joseph of Healaugh
 
This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Raw of Healaugh near Reeth in the County of York Cattle Dealer I give and devise all my household furniture and effects together with all articles and things belonging or appertaining to housekeeping (money and securities for money excepted) being within my dwellinghouse at the time of my decease to my dear wife Ann for her own absolute use

I give and devise to my Nephew William Hodgson now living with me the legacy or sum of Fifty pounds I give devise and bequeath to my Brothers-in-Law Ralph Bell and John Siddle all my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold to them their heirs and assigns according to the nature or tenure thereof upon Trust as soon as Conveniently may be after my decease to sell the same either together or in parcels and either by public Auction or private contract with power to give receipts for the purchase money without the purchasers or purchaser being obliged to see to the application thereof And from and out of the monies to arise from such sale or sales in the first place to pay unto my said wife the sum of Five hundred pounds for her own absolute use

and to pay the residue thereof unto and equally between an amongst my Nephews and Niece Metcalfe Rosamond William and Joseph the Children of my Sister Martha the Wife of the said Ralph Bell when they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years and to the issue of such of them as shall die in my lifetime or under that age leaving issue such issue if more than one to take his her or their parent or respective parents share only share and share alike

I give and devise all my personal estate not hereinbefore specifically bequeathed monies and securities for money unto the said Ralph Bell and John Siddle upon trust to sell and convert such part thereof as shall not consist of money into money and after payment of all costs charges and expenses attending such sale and conversion and of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses including the expenses attending the sale of my real estate and also the payment of the said legacy to my said nephew William Hodgson upon trust to pay and divide the same unto and equally between and amongst my said wife and my said Nephews and Niece the Children of my said Sister Martha the share of my said wife to be for her own absolute use

And the shares of my said nephews and niece to be added to and payable in like manner as the shares given to them from and out of the proceeds to arise from the sale of my said real estate I appoint the said Ralph Bell and John Siddle Executors of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this second day of March 1866

Signed and published and declared by the said Joseph Raw the Testator as and to be the last Will and Testament in the presence of us all present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved in Her Majestys Court of Probate The District Registry at York on the twenty second day of June 1874 by Ralph Bell and John Siddle two of the surviving executors named in the said Will
