Raw, James of Lodge Green
 
This is the last Will and Testament of me James Raw of Lodge Green Gunnerside in the Parish of Grinton in the County of York Miner I give and devise to my Niece Hannah Raw, the daughter of my late Brother George Raw, my best Feather Bed and Pillows one pare [sic] of the Best Blankets and three of my best quilts

I give and devise to my two Executors hereinafter named, the whole of my Copyhold property situated at Lodge Green and Gunnerside in the Parish of Grinton and County of York, to sell the same by Public Auction within Six Months after my death and after all expenses of such Sale, all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary Expenses is paid the whole of the proceeds of such Sale, together with all the remaining part of my personal property to be divided by my two Executors hereinafter named as follows, that is to say

I give and devise to my brother John Raw his heirs or assigns one seventh part,
I give and devise to my late brother Richard Raw children their heirs or assigns one seventh part
I give and devise to my late Sister Mary Calvert children their heirs and assigns one seventh part
I gave and devise to my late brother Thomas Raw children their heirs or assigns one seventh part
I give and devise to my late brother George Raw children their heirs or assigns one seventh part
I give and devise to Hannah Dougill the wife of George Dougill her heirs and assigns one seventh part I give and devise to Anthony Pratt son of Phillis Kitchen formerly Pratt his heirs and assigns one seventh part to be paid by my Executors hereinafter named

Twelve months after my decease and I do hereby appoint John Johnson and Henry Woodward of Gunnerside my Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three
