Bell, William of Lodge Green
 
This is the last Will and Testament of me William Bell Lodge Green in the Township of Melbecks Parish of Grinton and North Riding of the County of York Miner I give and devise to my Executor hereinafter named the whole of my Copyhold property situated at Heights near Gunnerside together with all my personal property whatsoever nevertheless upon [?] [?] disposed of as hereinafter described the whole of my Copyhold property being now sold to Thomas Raw I hereby authorise my Executor hereinafter named to transfer the same at the next Manor Court to Thomas Raw according to the Agreement

And I also order and direct my executor hereinafter named to sell the whole of my household furniture and all other personal property after such sale together with the money for the Copyhold property after all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses is paid To dispose of such money as is hereinafter described

I give devise and bequeath to my son William Bell his heirs or assigns now living in America the sum of one hundred pounds
I give and devise and bequeath to my Son John Bell his heirs and assigns now living in America the sum of ninety pounds
I give devise and bequeath to my Son Joseph Bell now living in America his heirs or assigns the sum of ninety pounds
I give devise and bequeath to my Son Christopher Bell his heirs or assigns now living at Greensikes in the Township of Melbecks the sum of Eighty pounds
I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Ruth wife of John Cottingham her heirs or assigns now living in the County of Durham the sum of Sixty pound
I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Alice wife of James Harker now living at Lodge Green in the Township of Melbecks her heirs or assigns the sum of fifty six pounds

I give devise to my Grandson Brown Heslop the sum of Sixty pounds such sum to be put into the Bank until he attains the age of twenty one the interest to be paid yearly to the Father for the maintenance of the child during [h]is minority or as long as the child may live but should my Grandson die before he attains the age of Twenty one the before named Sixty pound shall be equally divided amongst my before named children And should there be any money remaining after the before named legaceys or sums of money is paid I order and direct my executor hereinafter named to divide it equally amongst my surviving children And

I hereby appoint George Dougill Joiner Gunnerside in the Township of Melbecks my Executor of this my last Will and Testament made this 7th day of February one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine
