William Harker

Postby lynn harker » Sun Feb 26, 2006 5:36 pm

I am looking for William Harker born 1892 in Liverpool.
He is the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Harker. In the 1901 cencus they were living at Heugh Farm on Satron Side.
He is also the brother of Ruth Harker (re Postcards).
As far as i know he moved to Austrailia and contact was lost.
William Harker was my Great uncle.
Does anyone know of him and his family.

My mother had pen pal correspondence with his daughter Melva (Melba?) in the 1940's 1950's, apparently set up by Ruth. I've been unable to find anything more on this.

I have had great differculty trying to trace William and his family. But with a lot of help via e-mails to Australia,i have managed to find him.
I have managed to get marriage certs. and in the process of death certs.as well as any service records.
When i have gathered all of the imformation,i shall put it all on the Gunnerside website.
