One of several images including Buttertubs Pass, Catrigg Force and Kisdon Force to be found on the British Geological Survey 'Geoscenic' web site at http://tinyurl.com/ylpgx6p Some of the photographs were taken in the late 1800s/early 1900s and all include a brief description.

This image from the web site is
Friarfold Hush, Gunnerside Gill, Swaledale. Looking W. down the hush. Main Chert overlies Main Limestone on right (low Pendleian). This is faulted down into the cliff on the left. The North Hush and associated hushes are seen on the far side of Gunnerside Gill.
