Mary Metcalfe [ daughter of James Metcalfe nicknamed Holiday Jack / Jamie - and Ann Atkinson ] born 1745 Calverts House Muker married Peter Milner by License - Witnesses Richard Metcalfe [ Marys brother ] and Ralph Milner.

There must be a connection. The Milners lived at Calverts Houses in the time of Henry VIII in the early 1500's. We have copies of their wills. They were a huge clan in Swaledale - my branch had nearly 30 in Keld alone in 1861 but in the following 10 years they all left the dale.
