Today (16/09/05) Radio 4 featured a ramble in this beautiful dale with one of Britain's leading landscape photographers, Derry Brabbs. An expedition from Keld to Gunnerside samples some of the traditional Dales landscapes of stone walls and barns so readily associated with James Herriot and is contrasted with the havoc wreaked upon the landscape by the hand of man in pursuit of mineral wealth.
