Thomas RAW, Parish Clerk for Muker

Could anyone help with this one. I have Thomas Raw on 1841 census for Muker living with son Christopher and family, his wife having died in 1806. By 1846 Thomas had died too so I cannot look at other census material. Oh how I wish there had been earlier censuses. My problem, he is supposed to have been born Muker and as he is 70 on 1841 census I presume his birth to be 1771. However, to be able to progress further I need his parents but cannot find his birth. Can anyone help. I have found many Thomas Raw births in the area but not Thomas in c. 1771. He was married at Muker to Margaret Metcalfe dau of Rev. Lister Metcalfe in 1796. There is no way I can gain access to Muker parish registers so this is my last chance. Grateful for any information.
