Sudden Death - On Sunday night last, Mr. John Johnson, Wesleyan local preacher, of Gunnerside, was officiating in the Wesleyan Chapel, Hawes, and had just commenced the concluding prayer, when he fell down in the pulpit and expired. An inquest was held on view of the body, at the White Hart Inn, Hawes, on Tuesday last, before T. S. Walton, jun., Esq., deputy coroner, when a verdict of "Died by the visitation of God" was returned.
