Young ladies in Gunnerside Beck

Can you help identify scenes and people in old photographs of Swaledale?

This glass negative shows a group of eight young ladies sitting on rocks in Gunnerside Beck, just below the Literary Institute, and was probably taken about 1910.

A view looking the other way from the corner of Ghyll Edge. Not 100% sure as to who the people are but a guess would be a sister to my Gt Grandfather, her husband (Calvert) & daughter.
I'm guessing this is a similar era, I've been meaning to go & have a look as the current bridge dates from around this time. I'm not 100% sure that the bridge in the picture is the current one.
