Interesting annual Yorkshire Dales agricultural show held at the end of August in the picturesque surroundings of Swaledale. The event includes a selection of trade and entertainment stands for all the family, from candyfloss and bouncy castles to tractors and a licensed bar.
One of the main events of the day is the fell racing competition. The course traditionally goes up the steep, steep face of Fremington Edge overlooking the show field. Watch the unbelievably fit competitors run up the hill and down again. How do they do that? What do they have for breakfast?
