Gunnerside Village, viewed from the south - high up on Satron Hangers - on a fine, clear summer day. The Wesleyan Chapel and graveyard lie on the southern edge of the village to the left of the B6270 Muker road. Gunnerside Methodist Primary School and playing field are clearly visible at bottom left, Gunnerside Ghyll leads off to the north and then curves left, on its way past various lead mines to Blakethwaite. Lodge Green lies at the base of the hill, center right, and the trackway to Winterings and Potting climbs, barely visible, to the upper right.
