THE MOORS.

RICHMOND.

The weather on Thursday and yesterday has not been very favourable for grouse shooting, owing to the strong winds and showery weather, though fair sport has been enjoyed. The birds are both strong and healthy, and exceedingly wild. On Thursday, on the Barningham Moor, Mr Milbank and a party of five bagged 40 brace before two o'clock, whilst yesterday the same gentlemen killed 120 brace. On the Duchess of Northumberland's Gayles Moor, four guns killed 40 brace on Thursday against 20 brace yesterday, before two o'clock. The Arkengarthdale, New Forest, Hope, Muker, Reeth, Grinton, Gunnerside, Gayles, Downholme, Marske and Barden moors have all furnished good sport, though as yet we have not ascertained the number of brace bagged by each party.
