SWALEDALE AND WENSLEYDALE MOORS.—Mr. Lamonte and party, including Sir Francis Denys, Bart., did not shoot Gunnerside moor on the Twelfth, but on the morning of the 13th they went out on the Swaledale moorland, and found the reports as to the plenteousness of the grouse to be perfectly correct; and though the birds were somewhat wild, the party—five in number—had killed the grand total of 244 brace. One of the gentlemen was taken ill during the day, and was obliged to give up shooting. Mr. Milbank's party did not go out on the second day; on the opening day five guns bagged 63½ brace on the Barningham moor, the birds being very wild.
