Reliable information respecting the doings on the North Yorkshire moors has been slow in coming to hand. The accounts are highly satisfactory; the heather is in splendid condition, the natural food is in abundance, and the supply of birds plentiful. They are free from disease and strong on the wing. Driving has chiefly been resorted to, but on Gunnerside moor, in Upper Swaledale, Mr Lamont shot 42 brace over his own dogs on the 12th. He also did well yesterday. Mr. J. C. D. Charlesworth—a West Riding gentleman—and party bagged close upon 200 brace on Grinton moor.
