THE GUNNERSIDE BRIDGE.
Mr R. Luck, barrister-at-law, asked the approval of the justices of a loan of £1000 by the Richmond Highway Board for the purpose of rebuilding the Gunnerside Bridge across the Swale. The bridge, he said, was destroyed on July 20, 1888, by a flood, and on July 6 of this year, at a meeting of the Richmond Highway Board, it was resolved to borrow the sum of £1,000, which was the estimated cost of reconstructing the bridge and the roads leading to it.—Mr Rogers, clerk to the Highway Board, proved the service of the necessary notices, and the justices granted leave.
